Jade is currently a student studying BA Hons Textile Design at The University of the Arts London, Chelsea College of Art and Design.
Throughout her time at Chelsea so far, she has learnt an array of technical textile skills along with digital, such as Knit, Print, Weave and Stitch. Jade has now chosen a specialism of Knit, where she explores her further interests applying her skills through fashion sportswear/activewear, accessories and also interior spaces.
Jade is confident in using industrial, as well as domestic knitting machines with varied gauges, to create outcomes within the knitwear realms. She also has a strong interest in digital print and graphical textiles. Using photography, drawing and other forms of the visual arts has enabled her to push her skills further allowing her to have confidence in working with particular digital software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Jade likes to cross paths in both spectrums of digital and craft to interlink her digital skills alongside with the technicality of knitting to create new and innovative designs.
Jade is currently working freelance with Dyne.Life. A menswear company in America. Who focuses on fashion sportswear, with a high quality advanced, technical approach to the fabrication of design. She is working with the designer, illustrating some of their collections to be seen in the future.
